Terms of Service

These terms cover downloading and using Hypheus, the desktop app, and the Hypheus models that come with a Crowe Logic plan. Last revised October 9, 2026.

Who you are dealing with

Hypheus is made by Crowe Logic, Inc., a Delaware corporation based in Phoenix, Arizona. In these terms, "we" means Crowe Logic, Inc. and "you" means the person or organization using Hypheus. By downloading Hypheus, signing in, or buying a plan, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

Hypheus is new software under active development. Features may change or be withdrawn, and it may contain errors.

Your account

• Hypheus models, and any agent session, need a Crowe ID. Crowe ID is the same account used across Crowe Logic apps.
• You sign in through the Crowe ID page in your browser, not inside Hypheus. Keep your credentials private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old to create a Crowe ID or use Hypheus.
• If you use Hypheus for an organization, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it.

Plans and billing

Hypheus is free to download. Hypheus models come with a Crowe Logic plan on your Crowe ID, and the same plan covers every Crowe Logic app you sign in to.

• Plans, prices and allowances are listed on the Pricing page, in US dollars. The Free plan needs no card. The Free plan has a daily allowance. Paid allowances are monthly and reset on the first day of each calendar month (UTC). When you reach an allowance, Hypheus models stop answering until it resets or you change plan.
• Checkout runs through Crowe ID and Stripe on crowelogic.com. A paid plan renews automatically for the billing period shown at checkout and is charged to your payment method until you cancel. Any taxes are shown at checkout.
• Cancel or change plan in Hypheus under Settings, then Account, then Manage billing, which opens your Stripe billing portal. After you cancel, access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
• After a plan change, choose Refresh account so Hypheus picks up the new plan.
• Models above your plan are shown in the menu, labelled with the plan they need. Which models a plan includes may change as engines are added or retired.
• We may change prices or allowances. A price change applies from your next renewal after we tell you about it, and you can cancel before then.

Refunds

If a paid plan is not right for you, write to support@hypheus.com within 14 days of your first paid charge and we will refund it in full to the original payment method. Renewal charges are not refunded. Plans bought under a signed agreement follow that agreement. This does not limit any right to a refund you have under the law where you live.

Your own provider keys

On any plan, you can connect your own key for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or OpenRouter. Turns on those models are sent from your Mac to that provider, billed by that provider under its own terms, and do not count against your plan. Provider-key chat has not yet been fully qualified end to end, so expect errors with some providers and models. You still need a Crowe ID to use Hypheus.

The software

• We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Hypheus under these terms. The Hypheus name and logo, Crowe Logic's own code, and the Hypheus models service belong to Crowe Logic.
• Hypheus is built on Code - OSS, the open-source project behind Visual Studio Code, which Microsoft publishes under the MIT License. Open-source components in Hypheus remain under their own licenses, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under them.
• Hypheus is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Microsoft. Visual Studio Code is a trademark of Microsoft.
• Extensions you install come from Open VSX, a registry run by the Eclipse Foundation. They are third-party software under their own terms, and they run with the same access to your Mac as Hypheus.
• Hypheus updates itself from hypheus.com. You can set updates to manual, launch only, or off in Settings.
• You may not resell access to Hypheus models, share one plan across several people, or work around plan allowances, metering or the checks on your Crowe ID.

The agent works on your Mac, as you

• Hypheus agents read files, propose edits and run commands in a workspace you have marked as trusted. Each action goes through your approval, or through the limits you set when you start Autopilot.
• An agent session is not a sandbox. An approved command runs with your permissions, and build tools, tests and scripts can run code. You are responsible for what you approve and for what you let Autopilot do within its limits.
• Autopilot's undo restores file contents it saved during the task. It does not undo the effects of commands, and its saved copies are held in memory and do not survive Hypheus quitting. Use version control for anything you need to keep.
• Model output can be wrong, insecure or incomplete. Review code, commands and advice before you rely on them.

Your content

Your code, files, prompts and the output you get back are yours. You give us permission to process them only to run the service: to send what you choose to the model you selected and return the answer. We do not use your content to train models and we do not sell it. Do not send content you have no right to share, and do not use Hypheus to break the law or anyone's rights.

Unusual use

If a single account's use is far outside what one person would do, we will contact you before doing anything about it. We may suspend an account that is used for abuse, fraud, attacks on our systems or others, or to get around plan limits.

No warranty

Hypheus and the Hypheus models are provided as they are and as available. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Crowe Logic is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or code. Our total liability for any claim about Hypheus is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Ending use

You can stop using Hypheus at any time. See Uninstall to remove the app and its data, and cancel a paid plan under Manage billing. We may end these terms for an account that breaks them. Sections on content, warranty, liability and law continue after that.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the revision date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using Hypheus after that, the new terms apply.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, with jurisdiction in Maricopa County, Arizona. This does not take away any protection you have under the law where you live.
